Our History
Dr. Michael M. Blumenthal founded Libra's multi-disciplinary laboratory in 1979 following years of industrial and academic achievement.
Background
The Libra Technical Center pioneered desktop software commercialization with graphics and process control applications. Quick tests for food process quality control soon followed, and a consulting analytical research laboratory was developed to provide clients with new product/process/support not previously provided by testing services.
The range of clients widened to include Food and Beverage, Pharmaceutical & Nutraceutical, Cosmetics and Personal Care, Packaging & Materials, Household Products & Sanitation, and Fine & Specialty Chemicals. Sensory Evaluation and Instrumentation Correlation was added.
Recently, with the help of senior staff and management. Libra branched out to include Industrial Diagnostic & Forensic Services, and Litigation Support.
Dr. Blumenthal believes that S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Artistry, and Mathematics) are key to the training of tomorrow's innovative leaders. S.T.E.A.M is designed into the very fabric of the Libra Companies.
